General GIS Data Boundaries Study Watersheds 53, 54, and 55 within the Coweeta Basin
Description - This GIS dataset relates to the research done for dataset#3023 that examines the long term effects of litter exclusion, small and large wood removal, and the addition of leaf species of varying detrital quality on organic matter standing crop, export of organic and inorganic particles, and invertebrate abundance and biomass in a high-gradient headwater stream. This study was conducted at the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory watersheds 53, 54, and 55 from years 1988 through 2006.

    Coweeta Basin Soil Moisture Sensor Stations
Description - This file contains coordinates and information for the LTER soil moisture sensor station network located within the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory. These stations are located across a range of elevations and watersheds and measure soil moisture, soil temperature, air temperature, relative humidity, and photosynthetically active radiation. NOTE: the Terrrestrial Gradient, Gap Plots, or stations outside of the Coweeta Basin are not included.

Description - Soil moisture sensor stations are located in ten artifical forest gap sites that were created in 2002 within the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory. Measurements also include soil temperature and air temperature.

Description - The terrestrial gradient study compares vegetation, soils, and understory microclimate at five sites within the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory. This file contains coordinates and information for the sensor stations that measure soil moisture, soil temperature, and air temperature.

    Water Level Sensor Stations
Description - Pressure transducers were installed at two sites to measure water temperature and to determine water level. One station is located at the Ball Creek Weir House within the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory and the other is located near the bridge crossing of Lower Jones Creek and North Jones Creek Rd. in Otto, NC.
