Monitoring Locations Coweeta Synoptic Sampling Program Final Field Points
Description - The field points were originally collected with a sportsman grade GPS unit for a long term study of the Coweeta synoptic sampling area's water quantity and quality due to anthropogenic influence. The GPS points for this dataset were collected by multiple scientists working on the Coweeta synoptic sampling project in July 2009

Other Coweeta Synoptic Sampling Program TIGER Water Features
Description - The TIGER/Line Shapefiles are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the Census MAF/TIGER database. The Census MAF/TIGER database represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts. However, each TIGER/Line Shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set or the shapefiles can be combined to cover the whole nation.

Coweeta Synoptic Sampling Program Final Watersheds
Description - The watershed boundary was intended to give the scientists a better idea of where the water in the synoptic sampling area was flowing. This data set was created through the watershed delineation process using the hydrological tools in ESRI's ArcMap 9.2, the DEM of the study area, and the synoptic field points collected by the scientists.

Coweeta Synoptic Sampling Program Final Roads
Description - The road data was intended to help better visualize the amount of usage and traffic in the synoptic sampling study area. The road data was obtained from the Macon County GIS and has been clipped to only include the road data of the synoptic sampling watersheds.
Note: The road data for the synoptic sampling watersheds outside of Macon County is not included.

Coweeta Synoptic Sampling Program Final Pour Points
Description - The pour points are the field points that have been corrected to make sure that they are located on an area of highest flow accumulation within a certain range. These points are the final points used for the watershed delineation process. They are the field points adjusted to make sure all points were on a pixel of high flow accumulation.

Coweeta Synoptic Sampling NHD Flowline GUID Routes
Description - This stream set was intended for comparison of the synoptic flow accumulation model and for better visualization of the water flow in the synoptic area. This data was derived from the North Carolina Stream Mapping Program website at http://ncstreams.org. The data was then clipped to only include the hydrography of the synoptic sampling watersheds.
