Coweeta LTER Featured in ugaresearch Magazine

The Coweeta LTER is pleased to announce that we are featured as the lead article in this year's Spring Issue of ugaresearch, a publication of the University of Georgia's Office of the Vice President for Research. The article was written by Charles Seabrook, an award-winning journalist and author who, before retiring, served for more than 30 years as a science and environment writer at the Atlanta Journal and Constitution. Article highlights include rich descriptions and photos of our work, people and project area, as well as a clear-eyed account of the ways in which exurbanization threatens ecosystems and water quality in Southern Appalachia. We at Coweeta are grateful to Mr. Seabrook and Editor Helen Fosgate for spending time with us and presenting our efforts and findings to the more than 20,000 people and institutions who receive ugaresearch. |
